Squamish's Indigenous name, "Sḵwx̱wú7mesh," translates to 'mother of the wind,' a testament to the incredible natural phenomena that bless our town. The consistent temperature gradient between the Pacific Ocean and the towering Coast Mountains, combined with the unique fjord shape of Howe Sound, creates amazingly consistent and predictable conditions perfect for hydrofoiling.
While renowned for wind sports, these consistent breezes, combined with calm, clear waters, provide an ideal playground for all hydrofoiling disciplines, from eFoiling to wing foiling and kite foiling. You'll find very few summer days without enough wind or flat water to get out and ride, with many excellent days extending into early spring and late fall.
